To do this, you first set the type of tires you’ll use (depending on how many pit stops you want to make/what the weather’s like). Then you can control how much your driver pushes their car to influence the speed of your car and longevity of your tires. Depending on how you do in these laps, you’ll qualify for a certain position for the race.
Once it’s race day, you basically do the same thing (first choosing your tires, then actually coaching your racer through the laps).
