It’s Golden Week time again, and you know what that means! Great discounts on Japanese-made PlayStation games for us here in North America. Whether you’ve got a PS3, a PS4 or a PS Vita, there’s something you’ll want to check out.

As usual, the deepest discounts are reserved for PlayStation Plus members, but the difference between the regular sales and the Plus sales isn’t that big this year.
That said, if you want to save a little extra dough you can always sign up for the PlayStation Plus free trial and buy your games at the discounted rate. Just make sure you cancel the trial once you’re done (before 14 days have passed) if you’re not trying to be a longtime Plus member. This will of course only work if you have not used up your PlayStation Plus free trial before this point.
If you have a PS4 or especially a PS Vita, I would highly recommend Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. It’s 30% off for non-Plus members and 40% off for Plus members, and considering it just came out a few months ago that’s a great deal. Between the long story and New Game +, you’ll find plenty of content to justify the price of purchase.
If the sales seem underwhelming to you, just hold on to your money and wait for the next big sale, which should be in the next couple months. It should include non-Japanese games (along with possibly deeper discounts on this batch of games), so you’re probably just better off waiting. Of course, you can check back here around then if you need a reminder of when the sale’s going up so I can let you know.
