Humble Monthly

Get The Crash And Spyro Trilogies (And COD WWII) For $12

There are a lot of subscription services out there, but Humble Monthly is one of the best. For one, you actually own the games you get from Humble Monthly, and you get to keep them regardless of whether or not you keep subscribing. In fact, some of my best gaming experiences of the last few years were made possibly by Humble Monthly, including Metal Gear Solid V and Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Even with that said, the Humble Monthly selection for October is absolutely insane.

Update (October 9th, 2019): You might want to see the latest Activision/Blizzard news.

October Humble Monthly: Crash and Spyro Trilogies and COD WWI For Just $12

From now through sometime on November 1st, 2019, you can pay $12 for the remastered Crash N’Sane Trilogy (which includes all three original Crash Bandicoot games), the remastered Spyro Reignited Trilogy (which includes all three original Spyro the Dragon games), and Call of Duty WWII, which came out less than two years ago. There is no catch, these are fully legal versions of all that these games have to offer for PC, and you can get them for just $12.

(Infomercial Voice) But Wait, There’s More!

However, as is always the case with Humble Monthly, these three games are just the beginning. Once the deal has expired on November 1st, anyone who bought the deal gets a number of extra mystery games for free too! Now, these games will not be as high-budget as the three games listed here, but you might luck out with an indie darling or a smaller game that you might fall in love with. On top of that, there’s also the Humble Monthly Trove.

Humble Monthly Trove

Humble Bundle also maintains a “trove” of games that are completely free (both free in price and DRM-free) for Humble Monthly subscribers. At the moment, there are over 60 games available in this trove, with more being added regularly. Some of the current highlights include:

  • Super Meat Boy
  • Kind Words
  • Torchlight II
  • A Short Hike
  • Epistory
  • The Bard’s Tale Remastered
  • Trine Enchanted Edition
  • The Incredible Machine Mega Pack
  • Tumblestone
  • Fortune 499

And that’s just a small slice of the varied collection of games available in the trove.

Humble Monthly: Easy To Cancel

Another nice thing about Humble Monthly is that it’s extremely easy to cancel your subscription, so there’s no issues if you only want to sign up for a single month. There are a few perks of being a Humble Monthly subscriber beyond the trove, including a 20% discount on everything in the Humble Store, but there’s nothing stopping you from signing up for a particularly good month (like this one) and immediately cancelling. You can even sign up for one month, cancel, and then sign up for the next month (if the games are tempting) without missing out on anything you would have gotten if you’d kept up with your subscription.

So, at the end of the day, if you like classic mascot platformers or traditional FPS action, give the new Humble Monthly a try. It’s rare for a deal this good to come along, but you have about a month to think about whether or not it’s worth it. If I hadn’t already gotten the Crash and Spyro trilogies basically the moment they released on PC, I would be all over this deal myself.
