Football Manager fans: the long wait is over. I have just received the latest email from Sports Interactive Insider, and Sports Interactive has officially pinpointed the release date of Football Manager 2018. Enthusiasts will get their next dose of football managing goodness on November 10th, 2017.
There are a few perks for ordering the game (early), too. For example, anyone who digitally buys Football Manager from “an approved SEGA retailer” (like Steam or Amazon, for instance) gets early beta access for free and a free copy of Football Manager Touch 2018. Based on previous years, early beta access will probably open up about a week or two before the release date.
Football Manager Touch, for those who don’t know, is the streamlined, simpler version of Football Manager for people who don’t care about which physios they’re hiring, for example. I can’t personally relate to that, but surely there are some people who want that. The free copy you get by buying the full game is only available for Windows, MacOS, or Linux, although Football Manager Touch 2018 is also coming out for “iPads and select high-end tablets”.
There’s also a preorder deal. People who preorder Football Manager 2018 on Steam by October 9th who also have Football Manager 2017 in their Steam library get a 25% discount on Football Manager 2018. In other words, if you already have Football Manager 2017 and you’re definitely gonna buy Football Manager 2018, you really should think about preordering by October 9th.
For Football Manager Mobile fans (like me, since there’s nothing better to do on your phone than manage some football), Football Manager Mobile 2018 is also coming out on November 10th, 2017. This means that November 10th is D-Day for all things Football Manager, so we only have to wait about three more months for the next edition of our favorite game to come out. Sports Interactive claims that we’ll hear about the new features coming to Football Manager 2018 sometime in September, we’ll hear about the new feature coming to Football Manager Touch 2018 sometime in October, and we’ll hear the same about Football Manager Mobile 2018 sometime in November, so we won’t be completely in the dark until then.
Anyways, Football Manager fans only have to wait a few more months for the newest edition of whichever flavor of Football Manager (original, Touch, or Mobile) they prefer. Depending on whichever version you’re most excited about, you might only have to wait a month to hear about the newest features and upgrades. Until then, we’ll just have to keep playing Football Manager (Touch/Mobile) 2017 for another thousand hours.
